WARBIRDS OVER THE ROCKIES 2012
SEPTEMBER 28,29, and 30th - Fort Collins, Colorado!
It’s official! Our 9th Annual Warbirds Over The Rockies is underway with our first pilot to register, Terry Farmer. The dates are September 28, 29 and 30, 2012.
The last weekend in September was a unanimous choice amongst our pilots and we were happy to oblige. Indian summer in Colorado is picture perfect, so Warbirds will have an easy time of flying.
Set your calendar now and you can register online. Forms for tents, banquet, etc. are being reconfigured with corrected pricing and times. Stay tuned to the website for updated information as it becomes available.
Again for 2012, Warbirds will be held at Drake Field, just north of Denver, hosted by the Love Air R/C Club of Loveland/Ft. Collins! If you enjoy not only the history of aviation, but the spectacular Warbirds that actually took part in the battles that you’ve been told stories about all your life, then grab your sunscreen, a lawn chair and head for Warbirds Over The Rockies, for 3 breathtaking days of non-stop model warbird flying, by the best international champions in the world of remote control flying. This event is truly a unique presentation of aviation history. It is a salute to the flyers, past, present and future who protected American turf and values.

We are again in partnership with Mental Health America/Colorado. They cater to the special needs of people with Alzheimer's, dementia, and bi-polar disorder. We raised $13,000 for them last year. We also added a place on the registration form to donate to our Charity for this event again this year!
The format will be the same as in the past with a ton of open flying, a noontime airshow based on the history of military aviation and the airshow is open to anyone that wants to participate. The pyro guy has some new explosives for us this year.
We are going to limit the small park flyers to the noontime , mass launch.
