Saturday Night Banquet Information 2009

Our 2009 banquet is set to be one of the best ever!

Held at the Colorado State University Lory Student Center
Directions to Campus: Go west from I-25 approx 2.5 miles on CO Route 14 cross the railroad to a light and fork; stay to the left and take the left fork on to Mulberry continue to College Ave (Do not turn on to Riverside.) Turn left (south) on to College to Laurel. Turn Right on Laurel and then left on Meldrum to parking lot.

WWII ACE Captain Frank Speer



Frank Speer became an ace within seventeen missions over Germany flying P-51 Mustangs with the 4th Fighter Group, having been credited with destroying six enemy aircraft. On a flight over Poland his aircraft was shot down. He walked nearly 400 miles from the site of his crash landing before he collapsed from exhaustion and was captured by the Germans. He was incarcerated in three different Stalags prior to his escape and repatriation. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He currently lives in Wisconsin.
